History
Electricity program is established in 2019, as a sub-program of Electric and Energy Department at Igdir University Technical Sciences Vocational School. The program has started to accept students in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Graduates of the program who are gain the title of Electricity Technician.

Profile of The Program
Candidates who have successfully completed associate degree education; know the basic concepts of electricity, Installation of direct and alternating current circuits and gain measurement and calculation skills, ability to install electrical machines, electrical installation plans drawing and applying, the ability to make computer aided project design, the ability to install, maintain and repair industrial automation systems. Also, the candidates gain the ability to analyze and install electrical energy generation, transmission and distribution systems.

Graduates of the Electricity Program can work in energy production and distribution organizations, energy technology-based production companies or organizations that produce
maintenance and service. They can also be employed in energy-based environmental technology manufacturers or service-producing organizations.
Access to Further Education Levels
Candidates who have successfully completed the associate degree program, they can education in undergraduate programs provided that they get a valid grade from the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). Also, the candidates can complete undergraduate level at electrical engineering, electrical-electronic engineering, energy systems engineering, and, physics departments.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams are evaluated as written, oral; homework, project or laboratory work according to the quality of the course. In evaluating exams; one midterm and one final exam per lesson. The contribution of the exams to the success grade is 40% midterm exam and 60% final exam.
Graduation Requirements
In order to obtain an associate degree in the field of electricity, students must successfully complete all required and elective courses (equivalent to 120 ECTS in total) and have a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.00.
