Qualification Requirements and Regulations
As stated in Iğdır University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Regulations, the average of the courses they take from other courses except YÖK (Higher Education Institution) courses should be at least 2.0 (Two). For further information, the regulation should be consulted. Successful completion of all courses and 30 workdays internship is required. (Total 120 AKTS credits)
Program Profile
The training period of the program is 2 years and is continued theoretically and practically. Courses in the first and second semester of the education process; Turkish Language, Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, Foreign Language, general courses such as Mathematics with consists of basic courses such as Basic Desing I and II, Book Arts, Art of Water Marbling II, Basic Weaving Techniques I and II, Traditional Turkish Patterns I and II. In the third and fourth semesters, major courses such as Tile, Traditional Embroidery, Miniature I and II, Calligraphy, Illuminated Manuscript I and II, Basic Weaving Techniques III, Vitray (Stained Glass) and Decorative Surface Painting which for professional specialization are taught.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates (with examples)
Graduates of the Traditional Handicraft Program can find jobs as a master tutor staff in Public Education Centers of public institutions according to the results of the KPSS exam, as well as the opportunity to participate in employment in companies operating in various design sectors. Graduates can find work as drawing technicians or desinators in tile, carpet-rug and fabric design offices and production factories. They can also open their own design workshops or drawing offices. If desired, they can complete their undergraduate education with DGS or AÖF.

The program is a department providing education starting from 2010-2011 academic year. Within the body of our university itself, faculty members who have proven their scientific qualifications in these departments are employed.
